3largeeggs
1cupwater
1/2cupvegetable oil
Frosting and Coating
1cupchocolate frosting
8oz.semi-sweet chocolate chips
1packlollipop sticks

Method
Preparation
Preheat your oven according to the cake mix instructions.
In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and oil. Beat until smooth.
Baking
Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake as instructed on the box, typically about 30-35 minutes.
Once baked, allow the cake to cool completely.
Assembly
Once the cake is cool, crumble it into a large bowl using your hands until it resembles fine crumbs.
Add the chocolate frosting to the cake crumbs, mixing well until the mixture is moist and holds together when shaped.
Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of the mixture and roll them into balls. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Melt a small amount of chocolate chips and dip the ends of the lollipop sticks into it. Insert each stick into the cake balls and freeze for about 30 minutes.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the remaining chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth.
Remove cake pops from the freezer and dip them into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off.
Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle with toppings of your choice, if desired.
Place the cake pops upright in a Styrofoam block or stand to let the chocolate harden.
You can use any flavor of cake mix and frosting for variations. Store cake pops in an airtight container for up to three days at room temperature or a week in the fridge. They can also be frozen for later enjoyment.
