Ingredients

Dough and Fillings
  • 1 batch Pizza dough Can use store-bought or homemade.
  • 1 cup Cheese (mozzarella or a blend) Substitutions available.
  • 1 cup Pepperoni or other preferred toppings Can substitute with other proteins or vegetables.
  • 1 cup Marinara sauce For dipping.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil or cooking spray To achieve a crispy exterior.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Optional, for extra flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and cut it into squares, about 3x3 inches.
  3. Place a small amount of cheese and a few pieces of pepperoni on each square. Be careful not to overfill.
  4. Fold the dough over the toppings, pinching and sealing the edges tightly to prevent any fillings from leaking out.
  5. Lightly brush or spray the outside of the rolls with olive oil and sprinkle with Italian seasoning if desired for an extra flavor boost.
Cooking
  1. Arrange the rolls in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they’re not crowded.
  2. Air fry for about 8-10 minutes or until the pizza rolls are golden brown and crispy on the outside.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with marinara sauce on the side for dipping and enjoy!

Notes

Ingredient Substitutions: You can use any type of cheese you prefer, such as cheddar or pepper jack, and switch out pepperoni for other proteins or vegetables, like cooked sausage, mushrooms, or bell peppers. Experiment with different sauces for dipping, like ranch dressing or garlic butter, and consider adding herbs or spices directly into the filling for an extra kick. Store leftover pizza rolls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place them back in the air fryer for a few minutes to regain that crispy texture.
