Method
Preparation
Heat a skillet over medium heat.
Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
Place one slice of bread, butter side down, in the skillet.
Layer cheese, pizza sauce, and your choice of toppings on top of the bread in the skillet.
Place the second slice of bread on top, butter side up.
Grill until the bottom side is golden brown, then carefully flip the sandwich and grill the other side until the cheese is melted and gooey.
Remove from skillet, let it cool slightly, cut in half, and serve warm.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in a skillet over low heat or in a toaster oven to avoid sogginess.
