Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture until just blended.
Press half of the cookie dough into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Spread marshmallow creme over the dough in an even layer, then arrange chopped chocolate bars on top.
Serve bars warm or at room temperature. They can be cut into squares or rectangles for easy serving. Store leftover bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week.
