Preparation
Season the steak with paprika, salt, pepper, and ground cumin.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked to desired doneness.
Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.
Prepare the rice according to package instructions and keep warm.
Combining Ingredients
In a large bowl or serving dish, combine the cooked rice and sliced steak.
Pour the queso cheese over the top and mix until evenly coated.
Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
Notes
For variations, add diced jalapeños or sliced avocado. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or stovetop with water.
