Ingredients

Steak and Seasoning
  • 450 g flank or sirloin steak Can substitute with ground beef or chicken.
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
Rice and Cheese
  • 2 cups cooked rice Prepare according to package instructions.
  • 1 cup queso cheese (or cheese sauce)
  • Chopped cilantro For garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Season the steak with paprika, salt, pepper, and ground cumin.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked to desired doneness.
  3. Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.
  4. Prepare the rice according to package instructions and keep warm.
Combining Ingredients
  1. In a large bowl or serving dish, combine the cooked rice and sliced steak.
  2. Pour the queso cheese over the top and mix until evenly coated.
  3. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.

Notes
